Nicole Wright
APRN, FNP-C
I began my career in medicine after graduating from the University of New Mexico in 2007 with my BSN. I worked in a small rural hospital for several years until I moved to Texas, where I began working in the emergency room at NWTH. I finished graduate school with Chamberlin University in 2017 and graduated Suma Cum Lade with my MSN-FNP.
Even though most of my career has been based in emergency medicine, I realized I had a huge passion and love for pediatrics! In 2018, I began working with an amazing pediatrician who taught me more than I could ever imagine! I took over this practice and made it my own and opened Wright Family Medical and Pediatrics in 2021. This has been the most rewarding job I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of!
I stay busy with work, but my family keeps me equally as busy! My husband and I live in Canyon. We have five children, ages ranging 9 to 24 years old. If we aren’t at home, you can find us at the soccer field, baseball field or watching high school cheerleading! Go Eagles! Our oldest is in a PhD physics program at Ohio State University so we fly up to Columbus Ohio every chance we get! To add to our busy household, we also have four dogs that keep us on our toes just like our kids! We have a busy life, but it’s a life that we love!
Cindy Nelson
OFFICE MANAGER
I have been with the clinic far before Nicole took over the practice (right at 19 years, actually). I have done a little bit of everything at the clinic. I have seen patient’s now become parents and bring their children to the office. It’s so much fun to see the kids grow up to become adults.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family. My husband and I live in Amarillo. We have 2 children that keep us super busy. Our daughter, Remi, attends Clarendon College for rodeo and is pursuing a degree in animal science. Wesson is in high school and plays many sports, and is also a part of the welding program. When he has spare time he does a little bit of roping. Whether it be rodeo, football, basketball, track, or golf we are always on the go. We have 6 horses and 4 dogs. In our spare time, we like to spend time at the lake fishing or hunting.
Taylor Whitaker
NURSE PRACTITIONER
I graduated from Amarillo College in 2016 and I began my career as a NICU nurse, where I remained for almost 8 years. Starting at bedside and moving up to a charge nurse through the years, and even travel nursing around Texas. I grew to love my small babies so so much, but knew I wanted to expand my skill set and knowledge. I graduated from Texas Tech with my Masters in Nursing in 2024 and began working as a Family Nurse Practitioner seeing all ages, but my heart was still pulling me to care for babies and kids so I started looking for a pediatric NP job. I’m so thankful god placed me at Wright Family Medical and can’t wait to serve you! My husband and I are from Canyon, still live there today with our 3 kids and 7 dogs. You can usually find us outside, hunting, playing, and just living this beautiful life.
Mary Crocker
REGISTERED NURSE
Mary is not only cranking out the referrals from our office but she is also Nicole's mother. She came on board to help streamline the process of getting our patients to the right specialists when it is required.
Outside of work, she spends her time doting on her beautiful grand kids.
Kaddie Wiley
LEAD MEDICAL ASSISTANT
I am originally from Weatherford, Texas but grew up here in Amarillo. I graduated from Randall High School in 2008. In May 2012, I graduated with a 4.0 GPA as a NRCMA. I have spent 6 years in Pediatrics since then, along with many other types of experience, but Peds is where my heart truly is.
I have 4 children: Tanner, Jace, Braylee and Jeremiah that are all in school and play sports. Two of my boys in baseball, two in band, one in football, one in soccer and one in volleyball. If I am not at work you can probably find me at a field or court somewhere but we wouldn’t have it any other way! We also have two miniature schnauzers: Winston and Honey. In my spare time, what little there is, I love to read and I also love to cook!
I’ve been at WFM for about a year now and I am sure that I have found my forever place. I’ve created so many special relationships with my patients and their families in such a short time. I love to watch my patients grow, love to hear what’s new since we saw them last (they always have stories to tell) it’s just fun to get to know them as they age!
Fun fact Nicole and I have been friends and co-workers for about 10 years now and I am really excited to work alongside her in taking care of all of our tiny humans at Wright Family!
Salma Reyes
MEDICAL ASSISTANT
I have been working in pediatrics for 4 years and I love it.
I enjoy working with kids and watching them grow up.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends. I also love to travel and go to concerts.
I am so excited to work with such an amazing group of ladies at Wright Family Medical.
Briana Tilton
RECEPTIONIST
I am a proud parent of two wonderful children: a 13-year-old son and a nearly 3-year-old daughter. They bring immense joy to my life.
When I am not working, you can find me spending quality time with my family or enjoying outdoor pursuits. My husband and I have been inseparable for four years, and we are currently living in Amarillo, Texas.
Before joining Wright Family Medical in February 2025, I dedicated six years to caring for seniors. This new opportunity has brought me immense satisfaction.
